POSITION TITLE

Summer Intern

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will be assigned in a research laboratory. Interns receive closely supervised training and are able to develop professional skills. Duties vary based on assigned administrative department or research lab. This is a temporary paid position for a maximum of 90 days and is subject to minimum wage and overtime laws. Students can work up to 40 hours a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Molecular cloning. Human primary cell and cell line culture, preparation of media and reagents. Lentivirus production. Data analysis and lab notebook documentation. The position requires great attention to detail, dexterity of the hands, troubleshooting capability and flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

COMPENSATION

The expected hiring range for this position is $17.75 to $23.47 per hour, commensurate with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that exceeds the listed requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be currently enrolled in high school, an associate's program, a bachelors program or masters program.
