Position Associate Director, Corporate Partnerships Department: Corporate Foundations Relations Schedule: Full Time Position Summary Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate & Foundation Relations, the Associate Director, Corporate Partnerships advances the corporate partnerships strategy for Boston Medical Center Health System (BMCHS). The role builds, manages, and grows a high-impact portfolio of corporate and foundation partners to support BMCHS’s mission. In collaboration with CFR leadership, this role designs and executes multi-year partnership strategies, guiding cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of corporate prospects. The Associate Director will manage a portfolio of funders capable of making six- and seven-figure gifts and grants, develop tailored engagement strategies, and contribute to the growth, operations, and sustainability of BMCHS’s corporate fundraising program. The role includes partnering with clinical providers and internal leaders to deepen relationships and identify new opportunities, mentoring team members, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment. A successful candidate will articulate the BMC mission with passion and a strategic vision to inspire corporate partners and drive growth in corporate funding. An entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative approach are essential. Essential Responsibilities / Duties Provide strategic leadership and oversight for a portfolio of corporate and foundation partnerships, guiding team members in donor engagement through in-person and virtual meetings, written communications, and tailored stewardship strategies. Maintain responsibility for a select portfolio of high-priority partners while ensuring team portfolios meet revenue and performance targets. Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward complex corporate and foundation prospects, supporting team members in closing gifts and multi-year partnerships. Drive retention and growth of existing corporate partners, upgrading six- and seven-figure relationships and building a sustainable pipeline of new prospects. Oversee the full corporate partnership lifecycle—from proposal development and budgeting through agreement execution, fulfillment, and stewardship—ensuring high-quality delivery and repeat funding opportunities. Provide strategic direction and quality assurance for proposals, stewardship reports, engagement opportunities, and other materials in collaboration with Development Communications and internal stakeholders. Develop and maintain deep understanding of BMC’s mission, priorities, and initiatives to align partnership strategy with institutional goals. Partner with clinical leaders, program directors, and internal stakeholders to align funding priorities with donor interests and support donor engagement. Collaborate with Prospect Development to identify, evaluate, and prioritize new corporate and foundation prospects, growing and diversifying the donor pipeline. Utilize Raiser’s Edge NXT and related CRM tools to monitor portfolio health, track performance, forecast revenue, maintain donor interaction records, and ensure documentation accuracy. Establish and refine portfolio and team metrics with CFR leadership to assess performance and drive continuous improvement. Participate in annual fundraising and business planning, contributing to goal-setting and pipeline strategy. Manage, mentor, and develop corporate partnerships staff to build capacity and professional growth. Collaborate with colleagues across Development to identify opportunities for integrated fundraising strategies that maximize institutional revenue. Provide regular updates and reports to leadership on progress toward revenue goals, highlighting trends and areas for improvement and success. Performs other duties as assigned. Adhere to BMC’s RESPECT behavioral standards. Qualifications Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree; 7+ years of progressive development, corporate partnerships, or sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Education and Experience Prior experience in supervising, mentoring, and motivating staff with a focus on revenue goals and staff development. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to build and manage relationships with high-capacity donors and stakeholders; demonstrated fundraising success in corporate partnerships or related fields. Strong leadership and mentoring skills; ability to manage a team and foster collaboration. Excellent writing and interpersonal communications; ability to craft compelling donor proposals. Proven ability to manage complex programs with multiple priorities; problem solving and adaptability. Experience working cross-functionally with clinical teams, hospital leadership, volunteers, and development colleagues. Ability to develop strategic plans aligning donor interests with institutional priorities and engage volunteer leaders in fundraising. Comfort with a fast-paced, evolving environment and shifting priorities. Deep understanding of and commitment to Boston Medical Center’s mission and health equity goals. Compensation and Benefits Compensation Range: $97,500.00 – $141,500.00. This range is an estimate based on minimum qualifications; base pay considers education, experience, skills, and certifications, as well as business needs and market competitiveness.
