We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Human Resources team! You'll contribute to our mission of compassionate care in a meaningful way as the Workers' Compensation and Leave of Absence Coordinator .

The Workers' Compensation and Leave of Absence Coordinator manages the workers' compensation and leave of absence functions of the Human Resources team at Saint Elizabeth Home.

Responsibilities of a Workers' Compensation and Leave of Absence Coordinator:

• Workers' Compensation Administration:
  • Manage workers' compensation claims from initial injury reporting through closure, ensuring timely communication with employees, management, healthcare providers, carriers, and claims adjusters.
  • Coordinate return-to-work and transitional duty programs while maintaining accurate injury, illness, claim, and OSHA records and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor claim trends, provide recommendations to reduce workplace injuries and costs, and participate on the Saint Elizabeth Home Safety Committee.
• Leave of Absence Administration:
  • Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, RIFMLA, TDI, TCI, ADA accommodations, and military leave, ensuring eligibility and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage leave requests, required notices, certifications, intermittent leave, return-to-work dates, and related communications while maintaining employee confidentiality.
  • Coordinate with employees and managers on leave scheduling, staffing impacts, and ADA accommodations; maintain accurate, confidential leave records.
• HR Administrative Support and General Duties:
  • Maintain accurate, confidential personnel files and HRIS records; process employee status changes and prepare HR reports and metrics related to leave and workers' compensation.
  • Support benefits administration, employee inquiries, communications, HR projects, and general administrative functions while serving as a backup resource across HR.
  • Promote employee engagement and retention through staff events and activities, participate in HR meetings and professional development, and foster an approachable, supportive workplace environment.

Qualifications for the Workers' Compensation and Leave of Absence Coordinator:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in workers' compensation, leave administration, human
  resources, benefits, or a related field.
• Experience administering and tracking FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and leave
  of absence programs preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare setting highly desirable.
• Highly computer literate, including HRIS software, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
• Experience with and knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping and incident reporting.
• Experience with Paylocity software preferred.
• Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Attention to detail, with the ability to also see the larger picture. Strong problem-solving
  and follow-up abilities.
• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and
  priorities.
• Service-minded team player.
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written. Must possess the ability to
  communicate difficult messages with tact, professionalism, and kindness.
