Junior Accountant

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant, for our client in Conroe, TX. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, supporting financial reporting, reconciliations, and general accounting functions to ensure smooth financial operations. - Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a professional manner.
- Process invoices, payments, expense reporting, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain financial reports related to AR/AP activities.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain payroll and accounting records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support inventory and cost accounting functions as needed.
- Communicate with vendors and customers to address inquiries and resolve payment issues.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and reporting as needed.
- Maintain organized records of all transactions and documentation.
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), preferably in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
