Junior Accountant

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant, for our client in Conroe, TX. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, supporting financial reporting, reconciliations, and general accounting functions to ensure smooth financial operations. Responsibilities

Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a professional manner.
Process invoices, payments, expense reporting, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare journal entries and maintain financial reports related to AR/AP activities.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Maintain payroll and accounting records with accuracy and confidentiality.
Support inventory and cost accounting functions as needed.
Communicate with vendors and customers to address inquiries and resolve payment issues.
Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and reporting as needed.
Maintain organized records of all transactions and documentation.

Qualifications

Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), preferably in a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
SAP experience is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
