Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant- Conroe, TX

Seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance and accounting team. This role will support the accounting function across multiple development projects and entities. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of construction accounting experience and a strong understanding of GAAP, ASC, and POC. Experience with development accounting is a strong plus.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end close process
• Prepare and review account reconciliations
• Support project and construction accounting, including WIP reporting
• Assist with lender funding and reporting
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, ASC and company policies
• Maintain organized financial and project documentation
• Support the preparation of internal financial reporting
• Assist in the management and reconciliation of intercompany transactions
• Provide support to accounting staff and assist with workflow management
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate project cost tracking
• Support process improvements and maintain strong internal controls
• Perform additional accounting and finance duties as needed

Senior Accountant Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is a plus
• 3-5 years of construction accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP, ASC and POC accounting standards for revenue recognition
• Experience with development accounting is a plus
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliations
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
