Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction

Snapshot / Role Overview:
We're seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Durham, NC to support commercial mechanical construction projects and develop project management skills under senior leadership.

Impact:
- Support project success by coordinating submittals, RFIs, and project documentation efficiently
- Contribute to on-time project delivery by tracking schedules and communicating status to stakeholders
- Assist with budget management by processing change orders and tracking project costs
- Learn project management fundamentals while supporting healthcare and commercial construction projects

Responsibilities:
- Assist project managers with daily project coordination and administrative tasks
- Process submittals and track approvals through the review cycle
- Coordinate RFIs and distribute responses to field supervision and subcontractors
- Maintain project documentation including meeting minutes, daily reports, and correspondence
- Track project schedules and identify potential delays or issues
- Review and process subcontractor invoices and change orders
- Coordinate material deliveries and equipment procurement with suppliers
- Attend job site meetings and document action items and decisions
