General Production WorkerThis 1st shift General Production Worker role focuses on operating basic production equipment, performing light assembly, and conducting quality checks on watering pipe systems in a clean and quiet manufacturing environment. You will read prints to perform simple machine setups, handle loft pipes and completed pieces, and alternate between operating machinery and assembling light plastic components to support efficient and accurate production.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret basic prints to perform simple machine setups, including unbolting air cylinders and repositioning them as needed.Lift loft pipes into the machine and manually move the material through the equipment as it is punched and drilled.Remove completed piping pieces from the machine and place them into carts, averaging approximately four carts per day.Perform visual and touch quality checks on completed parts to ensure they meet specifications.Alternate between operating the production workstation and working in the assembly department to add light plastic components to watering pipe systems.Spend approximately 60% of work time at the production workstation and 40% assembling drinkers and related components.Accurately use a tape measure down to 1/16 of an inch to confirm dimensions and support proper machine setup.Maintain a steady work pace while lifting up to 35 pounds and performing repetitive up-and-down movements, standing, and sitting as needed.Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.Work scheduled 1st shift hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and be available to work Fridays as needed.Essential SkillsPrevious manufacturing experience in a production or general labor environment.Ability to read a tape measure accurately down to 1/16 of an inch.Ability to read basic prints and perform occasional machine setup tasks.Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform repetitive movements including standing, sitting, and moving up and down throughout the shift.Comfort alternating between operating machinery and performing assembly work to support ergonomic practices.Attention to detail and ability to perform visual and touch quality inspections on finished parts.Reliability in maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality.Willingness and availability to work Fridays as needed in addition to the regular MondayThursday schedule.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience operating production machinery with a focus on quality control is beneficial.Ability to work effectively in a small team environment with a family-like culture.Comfort working in a clean, quiet facility with a steady, predictable schedule.Strong work ethic and commitment to long-term employment and stable tenure.Why Work Here?Employees enjoy a stable and predictable schedule with no overtime, a clean and considerate work environment, and the support of a small, close-knit team.
