• Internal medicine hospitalists, pediatric hospitalists, general surgery hospitalists, orthopedic surgery hospitalists, critical care hospitalists for admissions
• Code stroke program in coordination with East Carolina University facilitates easy transfers for patients needing acute neuromuscular interventions
• Modern equipment includes helical and conventional CT scanners, MRI (3-T) and PET-CT
• Responsive lab and x-ray with turnaround times of less than one hour
• Primary service provider for a three-county area; and regional health center for a five-county area
• Onsite inpatient obstetrics and pediatrics

• Daily Encounters: 184

• Staffing Model:
  • 8 Physicians/3 APPs in the daytime
  • 2 Physicians/1 APP at night
  • 7-on / 7-off schedule
• Dedicated Nocturnist
• ICU Model: Closed
• ICU - 18 beds
• CVICU - 5 beds
• Supported by an Administrative Assistant
• Dedicated admitters
• Hospitalist-staffed observation unit 15 beds
• We have Clinicians dedicated to covering the ICU at night only

New Bern is a picturesque, near-coastal town with outstanding views situated at the confluence of the Trent and Neuse Rivers with a population of 30,000 people. Career Details

• Dedicated full-time swing shift position (2 p.m. - 2 a.m.)

Compensation

• Excellent compensation with an estimated employed W-2 pay range of $70/hour to $90/hour PLUS comprehensive USACS benefits and a 10% company-funded 401k.
