Job Title: Welder Employment Type: Full-Time Classification: Non‑Exempt Reports To: Tooling Team Leader Pay Range: $19.00 -$26.25 Location: Orlando, Florida Job Description Summary Regal Boats is seeking a motivated self‑starter with a great attitude and experience in welding to join our team. As part of the maintenance team, the Welder is responsible for all fabrication and repairs using various welding techniques. Key Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Perform all aspects of the job in a safe and quality conscious manner. Operate welding equipment according to job guidelines and verify work to print(s). Perform basic weld inspection and complete required paperwork in a timely manner. Communicate and coordinate with other departments as needed. Report supply needs, equipment breakdowns, shortages, and poor‑quality materials to supervisor or lead. Weld metal parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes. Perform related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding. Repair broken or cracked parts, fill holes, and increase size of metal parts. Position and clamp together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding. Locate and repair cracks in industrial engine cylinder heads. Work independently in a fast‑paced team environment. Read prints/work instructions. Read and complete process sheets. Required Qualifications Ability to operate air tools such as screw guns, drills, sanders, and grinders. Ability to operate chop saws and band saws. Must have flexibility in the daily schedule. Must be able to finish work with the given deadlines. Experienced and proficient GMAW/GTAW Welder with a minimum of 2 years of welding experience. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of fabrication parts. Aluminum GMAW & GTAW experience preferred. Vocational training and/or welding certificate preferred. Work Environment Must be able to work in a non‑climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature reaching over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at times. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to climb into and out of the boats using stairs. The employee must frequently be able to lift 50 pounds, work 10 hour days with most of the time being on your feet, and work overtime, whether planned or unplanned.
