• Number of Beds – 29 plus 8 overflow
• Number of Staff – 50
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift – 1 charge, 1 Desk PCT, RN's based on census
  • Night Shift – 1 charge, 1 desk PCT, RN's based on census
• Patient Ratios – 3-4 couplets per RN - Estimated ratios, not guaranteed
• Type of equipment – Welch allen vitals machines, CPN monitors, POC Glucose monitoring
• EMR – Meditech / CPN

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital Postpartum hospital experience
• BLS & NRP

Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• High risk post-partum experience
• Level 2 Nursery experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

• POC Glucose monitoring
• Breastfeeding support
• Post-partum hemorrhage management
• Assist with circumcision
• Hypertension assessment/management
