Onsite School Nurse (San Juan)

We are seeking a caring and experienced nurse to join our team as a school nurse. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality health care services to students, promoting health education, and maintaining accurate health records.

Responsibilities:

• Administering medication and providing first aid to students and staff as needed
• Managing student health records and ensuring they are up-to-date
• Developing and implementing health and wellness programs
• Providing health education to students and staff
• Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote student health
• Responding to health-related emergencies and providing appropriate care
• Maintaining a clean and safe health office environment

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Puerto Rico
• Experience working as a nurse in a school or pediatric setting
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to school health
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing or related field
• Certification in pediatric nursing or school nursing
• Experience working with children with special health needs
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
