Bid & Proposal Manager - Fiber, OSP & Infrastructure Services (Remote)

We are seeking a strategic Proposal Manager to own the full proposal and capture lifecycle for complex fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), outside plant (OSP), engineering, construction, and infrastructure pursuits. The selected candidate will run the process from start to finish. When a sales opportunity comes in, they own the proposal: setting the timeline, pulling in the right people, writing the content, and ensuring it goes out the door on time and looks professional.
Must have telecom industry experience, specifically with FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) proposals or programs.
What the job involves:
Setting up the proposal timeline and making sure it hits the customer's deadline — kickoff call, who's doing what, key milestones, when reviews happen
Reading the RFP closely and figuring out exactly what's being asked for, then building a checklist so nothing gets missed
Chasing down input from engineers, estimators, and subject matter experts, then writing/assembling the actual proposal document so it reads like one voice, not five people's notes stapled together
Working with Estimating, Sales, Ops, and Engineering to get pricing right, and making sure the numbers match what leadership wants for margin and risk
Running the internal review meetings (Pink/Red/QC reviews) — scheduling them, collecting feedback, making sure people actually resolve their comments instead of just leaving them
Handling the actual submission — uploading to the portal or sending the email, confirming it went through, keeping track of versions, filing the final copy
Giving leadership quick updates on where things stand and flagging problems before they become emergencies
After a proposal wins or loses, digging into why, and updating templates/processes so the next one goes smoother
Keeping HubSpot, SharePoint/Drive, and eSpeed AIR organized and up to date so anyone can find where things stand
What you need:
5+ years managing proposals or bids, or similar experience running projects in a B2B services environment
Telecom experience — specifically FTTH proposals or programs
Can juggle multiple deadlines at once without dropping the ball
Can write clearly and professionally — this isn't a job for someone who needs heavy editing
Comfortable with numbers enough to coordinate pricing input and catch when something looks off on margin or risk
Organized — version control, checklists, documented process, no loose ends
Fluent professional English, written and spoken
Nice to have:
Experience working with U.S. sales teams and talking directly to executives
Experience with fiber network builds — permitting, construction, operations/maintenance
Used HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar CRM tools

What Will Catch Our Eye: You have treated proposals as a revenue engine, not paperwork. You can point to measurable gains in win rate, cycle time, quality, or margin, and you have built the systems, accountability, and cross-functional alignment that made those results repeatable. Experience shaping complex fiber or infrastructure pursuits before the RFP is released will stand out.
