Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, reliable Licensed Electrician to join our residential construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and testing electrical systems across our new construction, remodel, and addition projects. You will work directly from blueprints and technical layouts to rough-in wiring, set up service panels, trim out fixtures, and ensure every installation is fully functional, safe, and strictly compliant with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• New Construction Installation: Layout, measure, and route wiring, cables, and conduit through studs, joists, and crawlspaces during the rough-in phase of new builds.
• Panels & Service: Install and upgrade electrical service panels, sub-panels, circuit breakers, and grounding systems.
• Trim-Out & Fixtures: Install outlets, switches, smart home devices, indoor/outdoor lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, GFCI/AFCI protection, and dedicated lines for major appliances.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret architectural blueprints, circuit diagrams, and technical schematics to accurately plan layout and distribution.
• Testing & Inspections: Utilize multimeters, voltage testers, and diagnostic tools to test continuity, phase, and grounding, ensuring systems operate safely prior to code inspections.
• Collaboration & Safety: Work alongside framing, plumbing, and HVAC crews to coordinate paths and avoid conflicts. Maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant job site.
• Apprentice Mentorship: Provide clear direction, safety oversight, and on-the-job training to assigned apprentices or helpers.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensure: Active Journeyman Electrician license (or Residential Wireman equivalent) in good standing with the state/local licensing board.
• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience strictly in residential electrical work, with a heavy emphasis on ground-up new construction.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep, working familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local residential building codes.
• Tools: Must possess a complete set of personal hand tools common to the trade (e.g., wire strippers, linesman pliers, multimeters, conduit benders).
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in tight or unconditioned spaces (attics, crawlspaces), and accurately distinguish color-coded wiring.
• Transportation: Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to travel between active job sites.
