Cultural Beliefs One LSC Student Focused Own It Foster Belonging Cultivate Community Choose Learning Purpose and Scope Responsible for significant functions in Student Outreach and Recruiting, providing expertise and guidance, ensuring implementation of district policies and practices. Essential Job Functions Participate in outreach and recruiting programs such as high school visits, college day/night programs, special events. Develop and maintain partnerships with church and community groups, businesses, state and local agencies. Assist in tracking students for recruitment purposes and participate in tele-counseling and various communication processes. Provide advice and information to education and community partners. Participate in outreach and recruitment activities, including workshops and training programs for service area school students, parents, apartment tenants, businesses, etc. Inform students about college and system/state policies regarding testing and placement, as well as recruiting/admissions policies and procedures. Reach students in lower grades than high school, using data and best practices to drive outreach activities. Collaborate with college staff, faculty, and administrators to promote recruitment, admissions, and enrollment. Collaborate with Dual Credit Coordinator and programs to facilitate recruitment and enrollment of DC students. Maintain confidentiality of all student records and databases related to recruitment, admissions, and student success. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of personal computers and MS Office software. Strong commitment to customer service. Effective communication and ability to work with diverse clientele in a team environment. Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks. Ability to assume responsibility for independent actions. Ability to assist in training other staff. Positive attitude in a demanding work environment. Ability to work evenings and weekends on a varied schedule. Specific knowledge of recruitment, admissions, and enrollment programs and policies. Physical Abilities Work is sedentary, may involve light walking, standing, bending, and occasional driving. Work Schedule & Conditions Uses PC workstation running on LAN in a Windows environment, calculator, phone, and general office equipment. Interfaces with internal and external contacts as needed. Work performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal safety hazards. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree or higher. Salary Hiring salary range: $33,540 - $38,571, based on related experience and education.
