AVP, US Experience Analysis

Overview The US Experience Analysis team is responsible for reviewing and understanding the assumptions and business drivers for all US division businesses: Life Insurance, LTC, and Annuities. The experience team strives to continuously increase its business knowledge and explore opportunities to advance experience review methodologies. Responsibilities Lead, communicate and also strengthen processes for our experience studies for mortality, morbidity, lapse, premium persistency and other policyholder behavior. Advise and provide insight as part of regular forecasting (monthly and quarterly) and experience monitoring to assist in the ongoing observation of the inforce business. Ensure consistency between expected assumptions and SOE. Deliver (with CFO) Financial Plan and own policyholder experience related Plan numbers Coordinate and provide analysis on experience to support explanation of earnings drivers to management. This may involve driving analysis to understand deviation of experience from expected amounts. Provide pro-active support, experience analysis oversight and analysis for organic and non-organic initiatives to optimize the value of the business Provide actuarial and policyholder experience thought leadership on new business initiatives and assumptions Expand actuarial experience analysis capabilities leveraging non-traditional data and AI tools; Develop and implement process improvements and/or simplify current calculations.
