- BLS (Basic Life Support) is required. - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) is required. - Fetal Heart Monitoring is required. - Must have experience in L&D (Labor and Delivery), Mother Baby, Newborn Nursery, and Couplet Care. - Must be capable of handling Gynecology surgery patients. - May need to float to Med/Surg if there are no patients, or assist with vitals and passing meds if not comfortable taking patients on the Med/Surg floor. - Will likely work with an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) on shift, performing all responsibilities within the RN's scope for laboring patients, triages, and mother-baby care. - Must validate initial assessments if acting as the baby nurse.
