Experience: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in long term care and supervisory/clinical lead experience over multiple units.

License: Current Client Registered Professional Nurse licensure

Certifications: BLS required

Must-Have: CPI obtained within 90 days of hire

Description: Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Professional Nursing. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing and in accordance with established policies and procedures, oversees the operation of the nursing units. Provides clinical supervision to employees assigned to the various nursing units. Assures quality resident care through teaching and supervision of staff on respective shifts. Communicates with the Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Manager regarding identified and potential unit problems. Collaborates with the Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Managers to resolve problems. Contacts the Director of Nursing on off hours only for those critical issues requiring resolution. Leaves appropriate communication for all other items. Makes sound administrative decisions in the absence of the Director of Nursing and the Administrator within identified scope of responsibility. Ability to collaborate effectively with medical staff, department managers, ancillary services, and customers in a professional and courteous manner. Demonstrated ability to manage self professionally in stressful situations. Ability to facilitate clinical management, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. Familiarity with relevant health department requirements. Demonstrated excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Computer literacy is required. Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Required tasks involve a potential contact with blood, body fluids, and tissue. Models, exemplifies, and leads in accordance with healing environment principles. Ensures safety, promotes dignity, respect and well-being, and exemplifies healthy relationships.
