Location: Fort Wayne, IN 46825
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Recurring Tuesday–Thursday schedule
Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience

Weekly Schedule

• Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support both front and back office operations in a fast-paced clinical setting. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable handling both administrative and clinical responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet, check in, and room patients.
• Schedule appointments and manage incoming phone calls.
• Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures.
• Administer vaccines as needed and within scope of practice.
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system.
• Provide clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers and staff.
• Assist with daily front and back office operations.
• Follow established clinical, safety, and patient-care procedures.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy/Venipuncture experience required.
• Athena EMR experience required.
• Current BLS or CPR Certification.
• Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Preferred Skills

• Occupational Health experience.
• Experience working in both front and back office settings.
• Strong patient-service and interpersonal skills.
