We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Swiss Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team in Jamestown, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up, operating, and maintaining Swiss-style CNC machines to produce high-precision components that meet strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC Swiss-style lathes (e.g., Citizen, Star, Tsugami, or similar)
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job travelers
- Load raw material and ensure proper tooling and offsets are set
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and collaborate with setup technicians or supervisors for more complex problems
- Maintain clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards
- Document production activity and quality checks accurately
- High school diploma or GED (technical certification preferred)
- Experience operating CNC Swiss machines
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools
- Basic understanding of CNC programming and G-code (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay is between $22-$28 hr. Hours are 7 am to 330 pm or 6 am to 230 pm
