Make a meaningful impact supporting students with special needs in a contract Special Education role focused on Homebound services with a caring 3rd grade Life Skills student. This rewarding position offers consistent hours in a supportive educational setting, beginning as soon as possible and with potential for school year extensions through May 2027. You’ll deliver instruction, ensure student progress, and provide vital compensatory support — all while working onsite and closely collaborating with stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Certified Special Education Teacher with applicable credentials
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in Life Skills or Homebound settings
• Deep understanding of individualized instruction and IEP implementation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging learning environment

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering 6 hours per week of Homebound services (4 instructional, 2 compensatory) to a 3rd grade Life Skills student
• Creating and adapting lesson plans in line with the student’s IEP goals
• Maintaining detailed documentation of progress and services provided
• Coordinating with families, school support staff, and related service providers
• Attending required meetings and adhering to district and state guidelines
• Ensuring all work is conducted onsite as required
