Electrical Engineering Technician (Designer, 6)

Summary We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Technician at our brand-new facility in Georgetown, Indiana. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support both production and engineering teams. Responsibilities
* Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and bills of material
* Perform high-quality soldering, including throughhole and surfacemount (SMT) techniques
* Build and terminate cable harnesses
* Apply solder stencils and solder paste accurately
* Follow proper ESD protection and all safety procedures
* Handplace or use assisted pickandplace equipment to mount SMT components down to 0402 size
* Apply conformal coating to printed circuit board assemblies
* Identify electronic components and understand their applications
* Build and test a wide range of analog and digital circuits
* Operate test equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and power supplies
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair systems at the component, board, and system levels
* Assist with development and construction of custom electrical apparatus
* Support planning, execution, and analysis of assembly and engineering tests
* Perform preventive maintenance, testing, calibration, and adjustments on electronic equipment
* Maintain inventory records and manage ordering, stocking, and storage of electronic components
* Communicate effectively in both computerbased and inperson team environments
* Use word processing and spreadsheet software to prepare, present, and share test data Ideal Experience * Associate degree (A.A.), or 5-6 years of related work experience or training * Current IPCJSTD001S certification, or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire * Current IPC/WHMA-A-620S certification, or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire Desired Skills
* IPCJSTD001 certification with Space Addendum
* IPCA610 certification
* IPC/WHMAA620 certification with Space Addendum
