Hours Per Week 40 Job Description This position is in North Kansas City The Licensed or License-Eligible QMHP provides advanced clinical and leadership support while delivering mental health services to individuals and groups. This role provides crisis intervention, risk assessments, diagnostic impressions, short-term stabilization, therapy, and discharge planning. The QMHP develops individualized treatment strategies and collaborates with internal and external providers to meet the needs of a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities Provide individual and group mental health treatment using evidence-based and clinically appropriate approaches. Conduct crisis interventions, risk assessments, and diagnostic impressions utilizing DSM guidelines. Provide short-term stabilization services and coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care. Develop treatment strategies based on patient needs and established clinical standards. Serve as a clinical resource and provide leadership and support to team members. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and internal and external treatment providers. Maintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation. Promote quality improvement, patient safety, cultural diversity, and compliance with organizational standards. Maintain current clinical knowledge and participate in required training and professional development. Minimum Requirements Master’s degree from an accredited program in counseling, psychology, social work, family therapy, or a closely related field. Current Missouri LCSW, LPC, or LMFT; or PLPC, LMSW, or PLMFT actively pursuing clinical licensure under approved supervision. License-eligible candidates must agree to pursue clinical licensure and maintain required documentation and supervision throughout the process. Knowledge of psychiatric terminology, diagnosis, mental health assessment, and treatment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to exercise independent judgment and adapt to a changing work environment. Completion of required orientation and training within established timelines.
