Desired Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification with Cognitive Impairment (CI) endorsement required
• Demonstrated experience working with students with cognitive impairments in educational settings
• Familiarity with IEP processes, goal setting, and individualized instruction
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills, working alongside educators, support staff, and families
• Ability to adapt lessons and strategies to cater to unique learning needs and varying developmental levels

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging, adaptive lesson plans tailored to the cognitive, academic, and social needs of students in the CI classroom
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to create, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to maximize learning outcomes
• Foster a welcoming, supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
• Actively communicate with families about progress and strategies for success throughout the school year
