Director, Cost Accounting

Dyne Therapeutics

Director-level position overseeing inventory and cost accounting strategy at a neuromuscular disease-focused therapeutic company. Responsible for establishing financial infrastructure, cost accounting processes, and inventory valuation controls across clinical and commercial products manufactured through third-party partners.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement cost accounting processes and inventory valuation methodologies
Establish financial controls and governance across clinical and commercial product portfolios
Provide strategic guidance on product costs, gross margin, and complex accounting judgments
Partner with supply chain and manufacturing teams to translate operations into financial insights
Support commercial launch and portfolio growth through robust accounting infrastructure

Requirements

Expertise in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and related financial controls
Experience with third-party manufacturing environments (CMOs, CDMOs)
Strong understanding of product costing, capitalization, and reserve accounting
Strategic financial analysis and business acumen in pharmaceutical or biotech context
Leadership capability to establish governance frameworks and serve as subject matter expert
