Salary Range $21/hr. + $3/hr. - $32.90/hr. + $3/hr. Description of Position The Corporate Travel Meeting Planner is responsible for negotiating and managing room blocks and meetings for Costco departments and warehouse openings. As well as compiling meeting/event data, contract fulfillment tracking, and reporting. Job Duties/Essential Functions Negotiates hotel contracts for meetings and warehouse openings (including room blocks, meeting space, and food and beverage where needed). Analyzes hotel contracts for specific clauses. Manages room blocks and meetings using meeting software tool and Travelport. Creates meeting registration sites using Swoogo event platform. Communicates and interacts with meeting organizers from various departments. Maintains confidentiality of data, documentation, projects, or other sensitive material. Handles other duties as assigned. Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications Required Strong attention to detail. Good follow-up skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and be accountable for actions. Previous group coordination experience. Recommended Corporate travel or meeting planning experience. Overall knowledge of travel industry. Event Registration program knowledge. Basic Travelport skills.
