Brewery Representative

We are currently hiring a full‑time Brewery Representative for North Chicago, IL. The role will oversee accounts in Schaumburg, Rosemont, Arlington Heights, Palatine and the northern Illinois Lake Area. The ideal candidate must live in the North Chicago area, preferably Arlington Heights, Palatine, Schaumburg or Rosemont/Des Plaines. The Brewery Representative works autonomously to focus on developing new accounts and maintaining current accounts within the industry. A high emphasis is placed on increasing the availability and visibility of products in new and existing accounts by using consultative sales tactics. Note: Although the position is listed as "working remotely," our sales positions are field based and require you to live within the territory listed to visit accounts. What You’ll Brew: Sell the entire Boston Beer Company (BBC) product portfolio 100% focus on selling products and/or upgrading the number of product lines in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores, convenience stores) Identify major accounts that are not currently selling BBC products, and develop a plan to establish business with such accounts Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point‑of‑sale items to increase brand visibility Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business is growing at accounts Conduct waitstaff/bartender educations, beer tastings and evening promotions Work conditions vary greatly day to day due to the customer‑facing nature of the role May be required to work weekends and holidays to support the needs of the business Occasional travel for meetings and trainings Regular travel in the market to service retailers and wholesalers (~80%) What Ingredients You’ll Bring: Minimum Qualifications: 1+ years of proven results‑oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality Valid driver’s license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point‑of‑sale frequently Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree Level 8 At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between $48,000 and $72,500. It is important to note that the starting salary within this range depends on related experience, skill set, and location. This position also qualifies for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance, and certain sales roles might include a car allowance.
