Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk will support the financial operations of the company by performing a variety of routine accounting tasks. This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, processing receivables, and ensuring all bank accounts are reconciled in a timely manner. Responsibilities Process and record daily customer payments, including checks and wire transfers. Generate and distribute accurate customer invoices and monthly statements. Monitor aging reports and perform collection calls or send follow-up emails for overdue accounts. Research and resolve any billing discrepancies or payment irregularities. Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure internal records match bank statements. Identify and investigate any unexplained variances or outstanding transactions. Prepare adjusting journal entries to correct errors or record bank fees and interest. Manage and process driver debit claims for contractor chargebacks. Review and verify independent contractor (IC) chargeback documentation for accuracy. Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure all significant contractor-related financial adjustments are recorded. Perform other related duties and additional tasks as assigned by management to meet the evolving needs of the department. Qualifications Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks). High level of accuracy, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality. Pay The expected starting pay range for this position is $20.33 - $27.11 per hour, with offers determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
