Details Med/Surg unit with 1:7 patient ratios Night shift, 4x12 hours (18:30-7:00) Schedule options include 36/36, 36/48, or 48/48 Every other weekend required Floating required Epic charting system preferred Requirements Active TN or compact RN license required 2 years of RN experience required AHA BLS certification required (AHA is the only accepted form) ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred MS/Tele and Med/Surg experience required Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, PICC line management, and central line blood draws Experience with colostomy/ileostomy care and feeding tube management preferred Experience with CVA/neurological care preferred Experience administering Heparin, Insulin, and PCA medications Experience with high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) preferred Cardiac monitoring skills including dysrhythmia interpretation/management and telemetry Experience with rapid response/code teams Wound care/wound vac experience preferred Surgical drain management experience preferred Additional Information Contract RN team members are expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside patient care duties Orientation begins on Sundays with online CBLs and includes 16 hours of non-billable orientation and modules Facility may cancel one shift biweekly without financial penalty due to census decrease Additional shifts above the committed schedule may be flexed as needed without penalty Relias EKG testing required for all specialties within 72 hours of signing, with only two attempts allowed Drug testing must be completed within 12-14 calendar days prior to start Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility, and local candidates are not accepted American Traveler Job ID P-749720.
