Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Location: San Francisco, CA Position Type: Full-Time Contract Schedule: 3x12s, Nights Pay Rate: $73–$75/hour Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time contract opportunity in San Francisco, California. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced maternity environment and is committed to providing exceptional care throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum experience. The ideal candidate will have strong Labor & Delivery experience, the ability to circulate C-sections, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery Assist physicians and clinical teams during labor, delivery, and emergency situations Circulate cesarean section procedures as needed Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies and changing patient conditions Required Qualifications Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience Postpartum nursing experience Previous travel nursing assignment experience Ability to circulate C-sections Completed professional references available at the time of submission Willingness to work every other weekend Required Certifications AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Schedule & Compensation Full-Time Contract Night Shift 3 x 12-hour shifts per week Every other weekend required $73–$75 per hour Apply Today If you are an experienced Labor & Delivery RN seeking your next contract opportunity in San Francisco, we encourage you to apply today.
