Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with Telemetry expertise to provide high-quality patient care in a busy hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong assessment skills, proficiency in telemetry rhythm interpretation, and a positive attitude to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms to detect arrhythmias or other abnormal cardiac patterns.
• Perform thorough patient assessments, recognizing condition changes and responding appropriately.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures such as PICC line removal and vas cath removal.
• Document patient information accurately using the Meditech system and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
• Conduct hourly rounding, bedside shift reports, and engage patients utilizing AIDET communication techniques.
• Adhere to hospital policies, dress code, & unit-specific guidelines to maintain safety and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Valid and current RN license with at least 1 year of nursing experience.
• ACLS certification prior to start.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with Meditech and telemetry rhythm interpretation.
• Strong assessment skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle stressful situations.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, dependability, and self-motivation.
