Therapist Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Screen and evaluate patients cognitive and physical functioning to develop personalized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Administer therapeutic activities, exercises, and modalities, including assistive device use, as part of the rehabilitation plan.
  
  
• 
  Assess patient progress regularly and modify treatments accordingly, documenting outcomes in the clinical record.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with the healthcare team, providing consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers.
  
  
• 
  Ensure comprehensive documentation of all services, treatment minutes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards.
  
  
• 
  Support supervision of occupational therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students, maintaining adherence to professional practice acts.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess active Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Massachusetts.
  
  
• 
  Have 1+ years of OTA experience, with LTC or rehab experience required.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in therapeutic interventions for cognitive and ADL disorders.
  
  
• 
  Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  
  
• 
  Capable of documenting clinical activities accurately and timely.
