Portfolio Accountant

A fast-growing real estate platform is seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Portfolio Accountant to own financial reporting for a portfolio of income-producing properties. This is a high-visibility role offering strong leadership exposure, cross-functional collaboration, and clear growth potential within a scaling organization. What You’ll Do Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Analyze GL activity, reconcile accounts, and post journal entries Perform variance analysis across balance sheet and income statement accounts Manage bank reconciliations, accruals, amortization schedules, and intercompany transactions Oversee AP processing and management fee calculations Support cash flow tracking and annual budgeting What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 2+ years of accounting experience (real estate or public accounting preferred) CPA preferred Strong Excel and analytical skills High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Why This Role Stands Out Competitive compensation 401(k) with company contribution Generous PTO Clear path for advancement Additional Requirements Must currently reside in the Chicago area Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship Interested?
