Deputy Chief Information Security Officer - Bank (New York)

For our client, we are seeking a Deputy Chief Information Security Officer - Bank to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead technical work focused on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: New York, NY - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $269,700 – $353,950 annually

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the bank-entity 2LOD Information Security program
• Maintain an examiner-ready posture for regulatory inquiries
• Lead remediation efforts for identified FFIEC IT control deficiencies
• Develop and manage the bank-scoped policy architecture
• Collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer on business continuity and recovery
• Oversee internal audit and external assessment relationships
• Ensure third-party risk management evidence meets bank-grade standards
• Coach and develop the Governance, Risk, and Compliance sub-team

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Information Security, with 3+ years inside a regulated bank, trust bank, or de novo bank charter effort
• Deep fluency in FFIEC and OCC guidelines
• Direct experience facing examiners from OCC, FDIC, or Federal Reserve
• Ability to draft board-ratifiable policies and supporting standards
• Strong operational discipline with proven ability to maintain controls and evidence
• Experience in a 2LOD role within a three-lines-of-defense model
