Medical/Dental/Vision 401k Paid time off Job Details Job Details: Our rapidly growing construction company is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and deliver construction projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the construction industry with a focus on fiber optics, construction management, cost control, risk management, and planning. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the success of our team, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities: Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to create functional and efficient project plans. Review and study project specifications to determine appropriate construction methods. Develop and implement detailed project schedules, budgets, and work plans. Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs. Estimate, negotiate, and agree on project budgets and timescales with clients and managers. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques. Manage the use of building materials, machinery, and equipment, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Oversee and direct on-site personnel and subcontractors. Evaluate risks and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status, daily reports, and other necessary documents. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, preferably with a focus on fiber optics. Proven working experience in construction project management, including record of successful project delivery. Expert knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods. Understanding of all facets of the construction process, including competency in financial management, risk management, and project planning. Proficient in construction management software packages. Ability to plan and see the “big picture”. Excellent knowledge of building and construction, materials, systems, market conditions, trade practices, and the ability to coordinate a diverse set of professionals. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Strong leadership and management skills. In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset. Interested in hearing more?
