Manufacturing Controller

Headfarmer ispartnering with a well-established, privately held manufacturing company in the Phoenix area that's built a strong reputation for precision and quality in highly technical, demanding industries. The opportunity: This role reports directly to the CFO and leads the accounting organization while partnering closely with operations and executive leadership. You'll balance hands-on accounting leadership with financial analysis and strategic project work, giving you real influence over both financial performance and business processes. What you'll own: Lead the accounting function, including general ledger, AP, AR, and payroll oversight Manage the month-end close process and review consolidated financial reporting Oversee treasury activities, including cash management and borrowing base reporting Partner with operations and leadership to identify cost improvements and revenue opportunities Establish and maintain accounting policies and internal controls aligned with GAAP Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors Lead financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis to support key business decisions Drive process improvements and support finance-related system enhancements Mentor and develop accounting staff while building strong relationships across departments What you bring: 5-10+ years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role within a manufacturing environment Experience with cost accounting and operational finance Strong understanding of ERP systems and financial processes Ability to translate operational data into business decisions A collaborative leadership style and strong communication skills Job shop or complex manufacturing experience is a strong plus CPA or audit background helpful but not required Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Competitive base salary plus discretionary bonus potential 401(k) with company match and immediate vesting PTO and a flexible scheduling environment Why this role stands out: A long-standing, stable organization with strong leadership and a collaborative culture Real growth momentum driven by major global customers in advanced technology sectorsThe chance to influence both operational and financial improvements across the business A leadership team that genuinely values work-life balance and long-term development If you're a manufacturing finance leader who combines strong accounting fundamentals with operational insight, this is a chance to make a real impact in a growing organization.
