Allstar Pizza & More is looking for a Training & Development Captain to help build a stronger, more prepared, and more consistent team.

This is a leadership role focused on helping team members succeed through effective training, coaching, accountability, and food-safety standards. The right person should be comfortable teaching others, giving feedback, following up on expectations, and helping develop future leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead new-hire onboarding and orientation

• Help create and maintain position-specific training plans

• Conduct skill checkoffs and training follow-ups

• Support Rookie → Pro → All-Pro development

• Help develop Trainers, LITs, and future Captains

• Coordinate cross-training between departments

• Identify team members who need additional coaching or retraining

• Ensure training materials and procedures are current and consistently followed

• Track required certifications and training completion

• Maintain accurate training records and documentation

• Conduct regular training and standards audits

• Partner with department Captains to identify performance and development needs

Food Safety Responsibilities

• Reinforce Allstar food-safety standards

• Monitor Food Handler certification compliance

• Train team members on proper handwashing, glove use, sanitation, food handling, storage, and contamination prevention

• Conduct food-safety checks and follow up when standards are missed

• Help ensure team members understand not only what the standard is, but why it matters

• Work with Kitchen Operations leadership to maintain consistent food-safety practices

What Leadership Looks Like in This Role

The Training & Development Captain should not simply complete training paperwork. This person should be visible, engaged, and actively developing the team.

Success means:

• New employees receive consistent training

• Team members know what is expected of them

• Trainers are held to a consistent standard

• Certifications remain current

• Retraining happens when standards slip

• Team members continue developing after orientation

• High-potential employees are identified and prepared for additional responsibility

• Food-safety expectations are consistently reinforced

• Department Captains have a reliable partner for team development

• Previous training or leadership experience preferred, but not required

Schedule

This position may include a combination of:

• Training shifts

• Administrative/training -development time

• New-hire orientations

• On-the-floor coaching

• Certification follow-up

• Meetings with department Captains and leadership

Availability during a variety of business hours, including some evenings and weekends, may be required.

Compensation

$9.25–$10.25 per hour , based on experience, leadership ability, training skills, and performance.
