Qualifications: Full, current, and unrestricted state license to practice Radiologic Technology (any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia). Any current or past restricted, suspended, revoked, or voluntarily surrendered license disqualifies a candidate. ARRT certification in general radiologic technology (R) at minimum. Minimum of three (3) years of experience on the advanced modality being proposed, or the minimum number of cases for that procedure type. Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently. Must clear pre-assessment/on-site clinical skills evaluation and VA NJHCS Professional Standards Board, Medical Executive Board, and Medical Center Director credentialing/privileging approval before providing any services. New hires receive a two-week facility familiarization (protocols, SOPs, equipment) only - contractor techs are not trained by VA staff and must arrive fully proficient. Location VA New Jersey Health Care System (VANJHCS) - Toms River CBOC 1051 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ 08755 Shifts 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM EST, 8-hr shift with unpaid 30-min break, Monday-Friday Day shift / full-time; occasional pre-approved overtime at Chief DRT's discretion; staff may be scheduled on federal holidays Duties: Ultrasound / Sonography Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certificate from ARRDMS (abdomen, OB/GYN, and/or breast, depending on services provided). Experience with abdomen/retroperitoneum, small parts, gynecology, male pelvis, obstetrics, vascular imaging, breast sonography, and breast biopsies.
