Breast Ultrasound Technologist

Job Summary Per Diem. Operates imaging equipment to produce high-quality Diagnostic Breast ultrasound images; requires in-depth knowledge of breast anatomy and physiology. Performs sonographic images, procedures, and duties under the direction of a qualified physician and clinical manager. Performs all activities according to federal, state, local, and hospital policies. Evaluates patient medical history and pertinent symptoms to determine appropriate diagnostic sonographic imaging while operating in a safe and efficient environment. Location 2014 Washington Street, Newton‑Wellesley Hospital. Onsite. Work Details Employee Type: Per Diem Scheduled Weekly Hours: 0 Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Pay Range: $42.38 – $45.36 per hour Grade: 5 Responsibilities Operate imaging equipment to produce high‑quality Diagnostic Breast ultrasound images. Perform sonographic images, procedures, and duties under the direction of a qualified physician and clinical manager. Evaluate patient medical history and pertinent symptoms to determine appropriate diagnostic sonographic imaging. Operate in a safe and efficient environment in compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and hospital policies. Qualifications Registered diagnostic medical sonographer. Prior Breast Ultrasound experience required. CPR Certified (BLS). Knowledge of the special needs and behaviors of adolescent, adult, and older adult patients preferred.
