Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ED RN)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency care, including pediatric experience, and will be committed to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Overview

• Unit Type: Emergency Department
• Number of Beds: 64 (2 Triage, 40 Acute, 6 Super Track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, 6 Psych)
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction (MI), Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
• Patient Demographics: Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatric
• Specialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun

Role Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for:

• Providing direct patient care to individuals of all ages in a high-acuity environment
• Administering medications and drips, including pressors such as Levophed, Epi, and Dobutamine
• Monitoring and assessing patient conditions and responses to treatments
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
• Floating to various areas within the department as needed

Qualifications

• Current and active New York State RN License
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department
• Pediatric experience is preferred
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Valid driver's license matching the address demographics
• Documentation of travel nursing experience

• Shift: 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed
