Job Title: Clinician - Assistant Professor (Harris Health) Division: Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Location: Houston, TX Work Arrangement: part-time faculty appointment through Baylor College of Medicine in the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Summary The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) is hiring a assistant professor for an open position in our Houston Medical Office. The office is a lean digital first office that is part of a joint relationship between Baylor College of Medicine and Harris Health System. The position comes with a part-time faculty appointment and employment through Baylor College of Medicine in the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Job Duties The Assistant professor will be responsible for outpatient diagnostical services at Harris Health Conty Hospital, Smith and/or Gulfgate clinics: Maintain a full patient load, and provide proper care and direction to those you are serving Create a culture of excellence in patient care striving to maintain expertise through ongoing learning and professional development. Participate in defining the growth strategy for the office including participating in and leading educational sessions with areas physicians, therapists, and healthcare providers as needed. Support the BCM Core Mission Areas including Clinical Care, Education, and Research. Be a representative of BCM’s values both within and outside the Baylor Community. Work with regional leadership and others in building the expertise and reputation of the office through high quality and consistent care for our patients. Maintain sound clinical decision making and support others in the office in doing the same while always maintaining highest integrity and ethics. Minimum Qualifications Successful Completion of ACGME-approved residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Current Texas Medical License, and said licenses and registration has not been suspended, revoked, or restricted in any manner. Current DEA Certification, and said licenses and registration has not been suspended, revoked, or restricted in any manner. Eligibility to hold Baylor faculty appointment including successful passage of required background check. Candidate must have the physical, emotional, and intellectual abilities to maintain and grow their own patient load based on high quality validated care strategies and industry best practices.
