Telemetry Technician - Part Time Nights

Telemetry Technician at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. This position is Part-Time and will work 12-hour Night shifts. Under general supervision by the RN, the dual role Unit Secretary/Telemetry Tech provides nursing staff with clerical and telemetry monitoring support to assist in facilitating patient care within their specified area. The Unit Secretary/Telemetry Tech is responsible for collecting and reporting information to the supervising RN and completion of all patient care related documentation. Required Qualifications Completion of a CNA program, or Completion of first semester nursing program, or EMT program completion for hires to Emergency Services. Successful completion of dysrhythmia course AND ability to pass rhythm recognition exam test. Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Experience with basic data entry. Preferred Qualifications Coursework/Training Completion of a MA, CNA, EMT program, Military/Corpsman training or completion of first semester nursing program. Coursework/Training Satisfactory completion of a medical terminology course. Or Knowledge of medical terminology. 1 year of acute patient care experience, Or 6 months experience in a direct patient care environment providing clerical or patient support related to provider, patient documentation or charting. 1 year Relevant telemetry tech experience. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
