Solutions Architect
Location: Mechanicsville, VA (Remote/Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months
Responsibilities:
- Create application and solution architectures, component designs, and systems integration for business solutions.
- Define, document, and estimate enterprise application requirements.
- Capture requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware, operating systems, and interfaces.
- Collaborate with IT staff to translate business needs into automated solutions.
- Produce solution design artifacts including technical estimates, system designs, sequence diagrams, and data models.
- Coordinate new system development ensuring integration with existing systems and COTS solutions.
- Analyze feasibility and compatibility with hardware and other programs; consult with clients to design applications.
- Collaborate with Business areas and Enterprise Architects for strategic consultation.
- Develop roadmaps and strategies to support agency KPIs with architects and technical teams.
- Design and implement Enterprise Security/technology Patterns.
- Provide tactical direction and architecture considerations on legacy solutions.
Qualifications:
- Experience with SAFe architecture and Agile/Scrum teams.
- Experience in developing enterprise and solution-level architectural designs.
- Experience in linking cross-functional applications between disparate units and systems.
- Experience with requirements analysis, business process modeling, methodology development, and data mapping.
- Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques.
- Good project management skills and exposure to project-based work structures.
- Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance practices.
- Competency with XML constructs and schemas.
- Experience with API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST.
- Strong understanding of end-user needs and requirements.
- Excellent understanding of organizational goals and objectives.
- Ability to work creatively and analytically in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Must Have:
- 8 years of experience in enterprise-level application design and integration.
- 8 years of experience in Azure (cloud-native and hybrid architecture).
- 8 years of experience in SaaS (Software as a Service) architecture.
- 8 years of experience with integration architecture and Agile/Scrum teams.
