Diesel Maintenance Mechanic C

Diesel Maintenance Technician (C) Job Overview Vehicle Technician C will work closely with an experienced technician to gain knowledge and skill by performing maintenance and repairs on all types of customer vehicles and equipment. Responsibilities include performing job duties independently, recognizing potential problems that could lead to mechanical failures or safety violations, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 1:00pm - 9:30pm. Pay Rate: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on skillset and experience. Duties & Responsibilities Perform minor repairs and wear item replacement, including preventative maintenance, repairing lights, and replacing wires. Study under Technicians A and B to complete training and gain knowledge for future repairs. Partner with Technicians A and B to maintain accurate parts inventory, research, resolve inventory discrepancies, and notify maintenance management when a resolution is not available. Maintain a clean and safe work area and warehouse. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Basic knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance and ability to identify major components. Basic electrical, mechanical diagnostics, and repair. Knowledge and ability to mount and dismount tires. Ability to diagnose and repair lights and wiring. Adherence to company uniform and appearance standards. Professional and appropriate interaction with internal and external customers. Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions for tools, equipment, machinery, and materials used to power, hand, diagnostic tools, and operate material handling equipment. Capability to drive company equipment, including class 8 tractors and working conditions. Flexible schedule, including varying start and finish times, possibly including weekends and holidays. Basic computer skills. Each technician must provide their own tools. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or GED. Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of relevant work experience. D.O.T. Brake Inspection certification. Benefits Hourly & weekly pay. Paid training.
