South Windsor, CT, US Salary Range: $25.00 To $25.00 Hourly HPC Foodservice is a family-owned, independent broadline foodservice distributor serving the Northeast since 1908. We are looking for an organized, customer-focused Inside Sales Account Specialist to support assigned sales territories, representatives, customers, and contract accounts. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and helping customers grow their business. What You'll Do Support assigned sales territories, sales representatives, customers, key accounts, and contract accounts. Manage customer orders, coordinate deliveries, monitor follow-through, and resolve service issues. Respond promptly to questions about products, pricing, services, orders, and account needs. Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication and dependable follow-up. Identify opportunities to expand business within assigned accounts and support company sales initiatives. Partner with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Customer Service, Revenue Management, Finance, and other internal teams. Maintain accurate account notes, order details, follow-up items, and required documentation. Support reporting, analysis, sales meetings, training, customer meetings, and special projects. What We’re Looking For High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred. At least three years of inside sales or customer account support experience. Broadline foodservice distribution or contract-account experience is a plus. Strong customer service, communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. Excellent organization, accuracy, attention to detail, time management, and follow-through. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and urgency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook; AS400 and business intelligence experience are a plus. Ability to complete any required background check for customer or contract-system access. Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Limited Sunday coverage may be required on a rotating basis for up to three hours. Rotating holiday coverage may also be required based on the shipping schedule.
