The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity.
The duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Tracks and maintains detailed records of purchase activities for assigned programs.
- Identifies and adjusts discrepancies in advances, expenditures, and commitments to verify that recorded funds committed and expended do not exceed funds authorized and advanced.
- Identifies the need for and develops training activities for Agency commodity purchase program staff on the full range of financial-related activities.
- Analyzes AMS, FNS, and FAS reports, defining discrepancies due to contract modifications, adjustments, and invalid commitments or expenditures.
- Reviews and analyzes accounting information to ensure accuracy, consistency of information, validity of balances, currency of entries, and reasonableness of data.
- Developing and maintaining Agency-level and Program-level reporting for a variety of agreements, such as cooperative agreements, grants, and inter-agency agreements.
