Warehouse Clerk (1st shift)

Warehouse SupportSupport the Service business through the warehouse. Pull, pack, ship parts for customer orders. Coordinate all aspects of outbound shipments including routings, packing slips, bill of ladings, and serial documents and manage all associated tracking information in business system (SAP)ResponsibilitiesVisual inspection of incoming parts and placing into inventoryReporting of discrepanciesVerify bill of lading, stock locations, quantities and part numbers and store-received stockResponsible for packaging, preparing and loading of orders provided by the stockroomResponsible for pulling, bagging, and labeling stock for ordersGenerate all orders for daily shipping. This includes deliveries, van stock, part kits, stock transports, and Field Service.Create all picking labels and shipping labels for all ordersProcess all orders through customer portals, Vertiv portal, UPS and FedEx machinesProcess all RMA's from customersManage and process all Freight Claims in DatabasePrepare International Documentation for all Int'l OrdersPerform cycle counts and verify stock numbers, quantities, locations, descriptions, and shelf life and troubleshoot discrepancies to identify corrective actionCreate parts kitsIdentify stock shortagesEnsure that all work is performed in a safe manner and ensure that all safety measures are metQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDOne to three years of stockroom experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ability to utilize existing business systems such as SAPDemonstrated skills in decision making, organizationAbility to multi-task in fast paced environmentPositive attitude and able to work in a team environmentComputer literate coupled with strong typing skills with ability to utilize word processor and spreadsheet application software for written communications, reportsTow Motor Certification may be requiredPhysical & Environmental DemandsHeavy Lifting (over 50 Ibs.)Frequent StandingFrequent kneeling / crawling / stoopingFrequent bending / twistingFrequent climbing (stairs, ladders)Working around moving machinery (fork-lifts, tractors)Protective Equipment Required (earplugs, gloves, eyewear, respirator, mask, etc.)Physical RequirementsThe employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the workday.Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, push and pull.Perform grasping, handling, and repetitive hand and arm movements.Maintain manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate tools, equipment, machinery controls, and computer devices as required.Safely operate hand tools, light power tools, and rotating equipment as required by the position.Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the position.Ability to climb and descend ladders, stairs, platforms, and work areas safely as required by the positionWork EnvironmentThe employee will work in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to:The need to work safely around manufacturing processes and equipment while following all applicable safety policies and procedureVarying temperatures, including temperatures occasionally above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.Moderate to high levels of noise in designated production areas.Outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, rain, and other environmental elements, as business needs require.Welding operations, including exposure to welding arcs, sparks, heat, and airborne particulates in designated production areas.At Vertiv, we're on a mission to empower the people that will power the future.
