Extruder Operator - AM/PM Shifts Available OH Middlefield - Middlefield, OH 44062 Salary Range $21.59 Hourly Overview The purpose of the Advanced Machine Operator is to perform full and comprehensive operation of extrusion and/or thermoforming manufacturing machines to produce company products of the highest quality. This position requires you to work in a warm temperature environment throughout your shift. You would be required to obtain a full range of motion from standing, reaching, moving, bending, and lifting up to 50lbs as necessary. Key Responsibilities Operates thermoforming, extrusion, packaging, and material handling equipment as required in a safe and professional manner The ability to occasionally lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and or move up to 40 pounds Observes and always follow and model all safety policies and procedures Monitors machines or equipment for alarms, indicators, and or unusual sounds to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with leads to diagnose problem or repair machine Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery Leads by example and performs all job duties in accordance with Growscape values Supports all company policies and procedures Performs other administrative tasks and special projects as assigned Qualifications Must be able understand the technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment Must be able to demonstrate critical thinking, reading comprehension, basic math skills, blueprints Must be able to demonstrate problem-solving skills Must adhere to all safety guidelines and foster a safe work culture Must be able to accurately complete paperwork as needed Organizational skills Must demonstrate time management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Demonstrate the ability to critical think and problem solve with relation to mechanical and production challenges Ability to work in a team-oriented work environment
