Associate Director US Oncology Marketing, Patient Engagement Strategy - Individualized Neoantigen therapy

Merck seeks an Associate Director to lead patient engagement and adherence strategies for an mRNA-based individualized neoantigen therapy in early-stage melanoma. This role develops cross-functional patient support programs, digital ecosystems, and shared decision-making frameworks to optimize the patient journey from consideration through treatment completion.

Responsibilities

• Design, launch, and optimize adherence and persistency strategies across customer segments and partners
• Develop in-office engagement strategies including shared decision-making frameworks and point-of-care education
• Lead branded web ecosystem strategy and patient-first digital engagement across treatment phases
• Define patient ambassador strategy and incorporate patient advocacy insights into commercial messaging
• Partner with global team on patient journey mapping and launch readiness for pipeline indications

Requirements

• 5+ years consumer or patient marketing experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or agency settings
• Proven track record developing consumer campaigns, digital strategies, and omnichannel patient experiences
• Leadership and influence across matrixed organizations with cross-functional collaboration skills
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation abilities with data-driven optimization experience
• High regulatory and compliance acumen with ability to navigate pharmaceutical constraints
• Deep patient-centric mindset with empathy for patient and caregiver experiences
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
