About the role

The Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Lead in performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and process to support the achievement of the sites business goals and objectives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, procedures and acting in a safe manner at all times

* Assisting and supporting perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment

* Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

* Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.

* Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

* Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

* Support diagnosing problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

* Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plan facilities.

* Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.

* Detect facility operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

* Perform shredder teeth exchange and related maintenance.

* Ensures training and updates are kept current

* Maintains a positive attitude; motivates, coach, mentors and trains employees on specific job tasks and requirements

* Perform other work related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Must possess good communication skills and legible handwriting

* 5-7 years facility maintenance experience and 10-Hour OSHA General Industry safety training preferred

* Willing to work flexible work hours

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Able to perform general office skills

* Requires standing, walking, carrying, stooping, crouching, sitting, grasping and reaching

* May require lifting, pulling and/or pushing up to 50 lbs.

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
