Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts | Variable Start Times (7:00 AM or 9:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in an acute care hospital operating room setting
• Support trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgical cases
• Participate in on-call rotations distributed equally among nursing staff, approximately every 6 weeks, which may include up to 6–8 shifts per 6-week period covering nights, evenings, and weekends
• Float between like units within the facility or to affiliate hospitals nearby as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Be available to cover occasional night shifts and work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
• Experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgical specialties required
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Willingness to work weekends and participate in on-call assignments

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an OR setting
• Familiarity with floating between units or sister facilities
• Ability to adapt to variable start times and scheduling flexibility
